Learn a language with Pimsleur

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

If you are among the people who wish they had worked a bit harder while at school, especially when it comes to languages, there is hope:

The Pimsleur language learning system is great for learning any language in your spare and ‘idle’ time: The Pimsleur audios help your brain to pick up a second language very much the same you learned your first language: By hearing words, phrases and conversations in the new language, you start to unconciously associate meaning to them and before you know what happened, you will be understanding and speaking the new language.

Use the time you are driving to work, doing manual housework or other chores that do not really use your full brain capacity to listen to the Pimsleur language audios and become proficient in the language you wanted to speak for so long but never really got around to learning.

Curious? Listen to sound samples of the Pimsleur language learning system here.

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

To learn Albanian seems to be no mean feat, if you listen the native Albanian speak… But if you can get hold of one of these native speakers and he happens to be a language teacher, it’s quite easy and fun to learn.

An alternative to a native Albanian speaker are audio books. Listening to a good Albanian language audio, especially when you do this regularly, will let you a bsorb the language quite easily and you’ll be astonished how quickly you will speak Albanian.

Pimsleur has developed a great Albanian language class on audio, go listen to a sample recording here: Albanian Language Audios Pimsleur Download .

The Albanian language also comes in really handy when you visit Albania, a great country to pass a few weeks of relaxed holidays. Great beaches along the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea invite to relax, the historic towns and a great culture let the visitors choose between relaxation and exploration. Speaking Albanian also will allow you to exchange views with the Albanians and to learn more about the way they live, work and play.

Learn Danish with Pimsleur Danish Language Courses

Friday, February 8th, 2008

Danish is a language with a special and very friendly sound, just as are the Danish people. When you’re visiting Denmark, be it for business or for pleasure, the Danish will appreciate your Danish language skills, even it’s only a few phrases. In my experience it does not really matter if you speak a language well. Simply the fact that you tried and that you have gone through the trouble of spending time learning a few words and phrases opens up doors wide that might otherwise not open at all.

Most people in Denmark understand and speak also the English and German language, but they will highly appreciate your Danish language skills! So why not give it a few hours and listen to the Pimsleur Danish Compact Course. It contains five hours of spoken Danish language practice in ten 30-minute lessons, and also contains a booklet and the User’s Guide to introduce you to the Pimsleur Method.

The Pimsleur method was devised by the well known language educator Dr Paul Pimsleur. His language courses provide the listener with a comprehensive, self instructional, step-by-step guide on how to learn a new language. You will love the fast progress you make when learning Danish! The Pimsleur approach is so effective because it is based on tried and tested techniques and principles that have proved to enable rapid and successful language learning.

Here’s a download link where you can grab your Pimsleur Danish Compact Course anytime.

Learn Languages With MP3 Audio Files

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

To learn a foreign language can be tedious and difficult…. You certainly still remember the long hours spent when you were at school: Trying to remember 100’s of words that just would not enter your brain…

There is a much better method than learning vocabulary by rote: Listening to specially prepared foreign language audios. This allows your brain to pick up the meaning and the context in which these new words are used. Means: You are picking up this new foreign language very much the same way as you learned your first language.

The best known foreign language courses that use this system are the Pimsleur language courses. Pimsleur offers language audios for many different languages.

If you have a website that is about languages, travel and foreign countries, our audio books affiliate program for these language courses is certainly a great monetizing method. Language courses are in high demand and the possibility to immediately download these audios helps the buying decision.

Read Books When Driving? Look For Audio Books!

Monday, February 5th, 2007

Find audio books. Printed books are beautiful, we love them, but can you read a book and drive? Some people think they can, and how that ends we don’t really want to tell here…..

To download an audio book and have it ready to listen to when you drive is the smarter solution!

With audiobooks you can use otherwise dull time to get entertained. Or you could be learning a foreign language for instance. It’s also a lot easier to have audio files that you can load on to your MP3 player, rather than having to lug CDs and a bulky CD player.

Learn English and Learn Spanish

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

To learn English or to learn Spanish? Both languages are major languages and many million people speak them. With both languages you can move in large parts of the world and get by.

Well, it really depends what your goal is and exactly where you will end up travelling, working and living. Whichever of the two languages will give you better value, it will still take effort to learn them. If you’re going to have to speak with people in Mexico, Middle and South America, then Spanish ist the choice.

If on the other hand you are going to be moving in predominantly English speaking countries, like the UK, the U.S.A., Australia, Europe and many South East Asian countries, then English will bring you further. A very good start are the Pimsleur language courses in English for speakers of foreign languages:

They are easy to use and very convenient because of the method and the media: The method is very simple to implement: Listen to the audio often and many times. The media are downloadable audio books, that can be played on a PC, laptop, iPod or other MP3 player and even on some of the newer cell phones.

Take the lessons along, listen to them often and your brain does the rest!
