When you’re starting to look into the classic literature and especially Shakespeare, you’ll find out that there are many different recordings of the Bard’s plays online. Personally I find that the BBC Audiobook versions are often the ones I like best. But there are other editors who do a good job.

Buying audio books just by the nice pics on the front of the CD has never been my idea of a good buy. Therefore I prefer to visit sites that let me listen to samples. One such site is ShakespeareAudioBook.com which has a great comparative page with the Tragedies written by Shakespeare .

Listening to the samples you get a good idea what the entire recording will be like and I’ve yet to regret a choice I made that way. More sites should do this!

This year, Valentine will be different for many. Instead of just flowers, chocolate, perfume and whatever else is given on Valentine, many will recieve a Valentines poem collection that can be loaded on the iPod or MP3 player. Your Valentine will be listening to these poems forever – well, maybe that’s a slight exageration – hearing romantic words, selected and offered by you.

Valentine is for lovers. But expressing the feelings of love, the appreciation for the other, the love and emotions – all that is difficult to put into the right words. Writing a Valentines card can be quite a chore…

If you’re short of words, there is a solution: Poets and song writers have spent hours perfecting their poems to tell their love how much they appreciate them, how much they mean for them and how they can not live without them. They did that in much more poetic words than what I write here.

Valentines poems can be downloaded as audio files that fit on a cell phone, iPod or MP3 player. These twelve poems can also be downloaded individually, making them a nice and not too expensive gift to add to chocolates, flowers or any other, more conventional gifts.

It is easy and only takes a few minutes to upload the audio files with the Valentines poems to the iPod or MP3 player. Your Valentine will have these files with her / him forever to listen to your precious gift whenever they feel like it and miss you!

The main site with the products starts to pick up speed real nice. Writing an occasional blog entry and having a few domains up that point to the great crime audio books that can be downloaded from there starts to get results.

We have a lot of New York times bestseller authors in the program. I’m trying to list some of them too and link in to the site, this will get some additional traffic. One thing I know is that I’ll become one of my own best customer, these audios are great!

This being just before Christmas, there were a few other things to do, but I managed to load up an other set of nice looking audio books pages. This time it’s a mix of Romance audio books, Thriller, Crime, Horror and Radio Shows, with a few historical audio books and classic literature audios thrown in.

I think they look fine, but I’ll need to create a few more header banners, right now they are all under the ‘Romance’ header, not very good for Crime and Thriller audios or the Radio Shows. The Radio shows are mostly from BBC Audiobooks, thus it’s British humor and comedy.

If you’re short a few Christmas gifts, then maybe a downloadable audio book will rescue you and help you find just the right thing for your loved one. These digital audio books are much more convenient than the old audios on casettes or CD. Even a large volume will easily fit on an MP3 Player and can be carried along everywhere.

AND you will not have to rush into the city, wrestle your way through nervous crowds and tackle even more nervous and tired sales people: Just fire up your browser and pick up a few good titles that connect with a hobby or interest of the person that is to receive the gift, or buy something in tune with the season, like i.e. ‘The Christmas Train’ by David Baldacci.

I for myself have been able to find audios for the few people I love, and I’m sure they will enjoy listening to these audio books. The Search function on AudioBooksCorner.com is quite nifty, and even though they have over 70’000 titles, if you look for a keyword, say ‘fishing’ you’ll find a few really great gifts. I chose ‘All Fishermen Are Liars’ and I’m sure this audio book will amuse my friend Hans – a great fisherman – and keep him company whilst waiting for really big fish to nibble or even bite.

For the other x-mas gifts I was looking for I did the same: I used the Search function on AudioBooksCorner.com and entered the words associated with the hobbies or likes of my friends and loved ones, and the appropriate audio books popped up. Much better than a desperate sales person, trying to fight off a customer that takes up too much time and keeps her from taking the money from customers who have already found their audio books and desperately want to check out….
