The Anatomy Of A Successful Life

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Dr. Creflo A. Dollar has written a book that has a number of really good pointers to what it takes to get your life on the right track: “8 Steps To Create The Life You Want: The Anatomy Of A Successful Life”.

His most important message: “Don’t wait until tomorrow for the life you want today“.

Dr. Creflo A. Dollar shows you a program of eight steps to the magnificent life you crave! Confidence, peace, and abundant life …. - we all long for these things. But in this life-changing audio book, the author who is also a renowned pastor Dr. Creflo A. Dollar challenges his listeners to stop only wishing for a satisfying life.

Instead, Dr. Dollar proclaims, we should be claiming the success that God promises today. We do not have to be defined by past failures or mediocrity; we must move forward into the richness available to us right now. God has designed a glorious destiny for each of us, and all we have to do is take hold of it. In order to seize our destiny, each of us must be willing to radically transform our lives. ‘If you don’t like the way you feel,’ says Dollar, ‘you’ve got to change the way you think.’ By taking manageable steps along the way, each of us can achieve life to the fullest; until it overflows.

Charlie Wilson’s War - George Crile - Audio Book

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Charlie Wilson’s War is the untold story behind the last battle of the Cold War and how it fueled the rise of militant Islam. George Crile tells how Charlie Wilson, a maverick congressman from east Texas, conspired with a rogue CIA operative to launch the biggest, meanest, and most successful covert operation in the Agency’s history.

In the early 1980s, after a Houston socialite turned Wilson’s attention to the ragged Afghan freedom fighters who continued to fight the Soviet invaders despite overwhelming odds, the congressman became passionate about their cause and procured hundreds of millions of dollars to support the mujahideen.

Moving from the back rooms of the Capitol, to secret chambers at Langley, to arms-dealers conventions, to the Khyber Pass, this book is a detailed and brilliantly reported account of the inside workings of the CIA.

George Crile is a veteran producer for 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes II. He lives in New York with his wife and four daughters.

The narrator of this bestselling audio book, Christopher Lane is an award-winning actor, director, and narrator. Earning rave reviews on every book he has narrated for Blackstone, he received the coveted Audie Award in 2004. He lives in Washington, D.C.

Become an Audio Book Critic

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Audio Books are popular, it’s a lot easier to carry your MP3 player with you than to lug 5 heavy paper books. And it’s a lot easier driving keeping your eyes on the road and just listening than trying to read as you drive…. forget about the dangers! Please don’t read and drive!!!

There is a new site that allows you to critic audio books and link back to the pages where you found them : Audio Books Critics - Audio Books News . It’s neat and quite easy to use.

If you are in to audiobooks, you’ll sure discover new audio books. Reading what others have to say is always interesting! Why not write a short critic about the audio book you’re currently listeing to?

Martin Luther King - Biography Audiobook

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Here is an audiobook that describes the life of a truly exceptional man:

Martin Luther King, Jr., (January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968) was born Michael Luther King, Jr., but later had his name changed to Martin. There is a long tradition of priesthood in this family, beginning with his grandfather. From 1960 until his death Martin Luther King was co-pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. After his theological study at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania he was awarded the B.D. in 1951 and his doctrate degree from Boston University in 1955. In Boston he met and married Coretta Scott and had two sons and two daughters with Coretta.

In 1954, Martin Luther King accepted the pastorale of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. In December, 1955, he lead the great Negro nonviolent demonstration, the ‘bus boycott’. The boycott lasted 382 days. On December 21, 1956, after the Supreme Court of the United States had declared unconstitutional the laws requiring segregation on buses, Negroes and whites rode the buses as equals.
In 1957 Martin Luther King was elected president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”, a manifesto of the Negro revolution; he planned the drives in Alabama for the registration of Negroes as voters; he directed the peaceful march on Washington, D.C., of 250,000 people to whom he delivered his address, “l Have a Dream”, he met President John F. Kennedy and campaigned for President Lyndon B. Johnson; he was arrested more than twenty times and often assaulted. Martin Luther King was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963; and became not only the symbolic leader of American blacks but also a world figure.

At the age of only thirty-five, Martin Luther King, Jr., was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. On the evening of April 4, 1968, while standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers, he was assassinated.

In ‘The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr.’ by Clayborne Carson King’s life and work is decribe with many examples of it meant at the time to battle against segregation and to stand up for the human rights ob blacks.

Monetizing Your Blog’s Book-List And Book Reviews For Your Favourite Charity (Fundraising With Blogs)

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

Many bloggers who like to read establish book lists. Regularly for year’s end, sometimes they also make a so called TBR list (to be read)at the beginning of the year.During the year book reviews are published by avid readers and book lovers.

Fundraising is difficult and many Charities have a hard time to get enough funds to keep operating. Here is a way how bloggers can help their charity raise funds:

If you have a charity you are supporting, or if you feel that a worthy cause should get some money, you should not overlook the potential of your blog. By adding an affiliate link for the purchase of the books you list, you will generate a commission, that you then can pass on to the Charity of your choice (or keep to travel somewhere, buy the whole family ice cream, or whatever else you wanted to do, but did not have the money to pay for).

How does it work? Sign up for the affiliate program! If you are no thinking of Amazon - they are books after all, then wait! There are programs that pay much better than Amanzon!

The AudioBookscorner.com affiliate program for downloadable audio books pays bloggers with an active blog 15% commission of the customer’s entire purchase he makes when he comes from your link. And the visitor gets a cookie that stays with him for 30 days. So if he does not buy immediately and returns later, or if he buys and then buys again a second or third time, even if this time he does not come from your link, the sale is still yours, the cookie identifies this customer as coming from your link initially!

This affiliate program does not work for bloggers only, webmasters are earning money also with audio books :

You could also build small specialized audio book stores with the program. This is especially effective, if you build a small website and make a book list for specific authors and their works. Add a few details about the author and his books, add your own opinion. Every audio book you mention needs to be linked with your affiliate link, so that if somebody clicks they are brought to the page where they can buy.

To promote this specialized site you do what you do all the time: You fire up your blog and review one book per day. In your post, you add one affiliate link directly and you also add a link to your small bookstore specialized site, which is preferably on an other domain (can be a free site or you get yourself an other domain name to do this). This also works if you have your blog and the specialized website on the same domain.
If you mention in your posts that the proceedings from the affiliate commissions go to xyz charity, you can be sure people will help you raise money!

If you are interested, but are a bit overhelmed by these explanations, shoot me an email to rolf # nospam # at # audiobookscorner # . # com - you’ll know how to recompose the address so it works (the nospam part nees to be removed too). I’ll be happy to help you build a few pages and links so that you can go and do it yourself once you see how this works and fits together.

Why let good traffic go to waste, if you could funnel some money to a good cause?

Looking forward to sending you your affiliate commissions!
