Audio Books Affiliate Program

The Search Engines have become a lot more picky recently what they list and what they ban. The things that used to work either don’t work at all or have lost a lot of their quick and easy listing power with Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Monetizing web pages with a few scraped bits of content and maybe an Adsense Ad is a thing of the past. If you listen to the comments on forums that discuss webmastering, website building and SEO tactics, there is a lot of disappointment out there….. Months of work flushed down the drain with a few tweaks in the algorythms of the Big Three. Not a pretty sight, and for some people this starts to be threatening their livelyhood. If Adsense revenue from such sites was the major part of the income, an alternative needs be created now!

Our Audio Books Affiliate Program might be part of the puzzle to build more stable and content rich pages that are liked by the Search Engines, provide true value to visitors and help webmasters to earn money from their websites.

On December 16th - just 5 days ago - I built a bunch of pages with Foreign language course audio books on them. See the post of that date.

The example page that I had linked directly from this blog showed up the day before yeterday, that was already quite good.

Today I checked how well these pages were being picked up by Google, and to my pleasant surprise, Google seems to be very busy picking up the pages one by one. This domain name has only just been registered, and the content is barely 5 days old. And already 59 (!) pages are indexed.

If you want to check for yourself, go to Google and enter ’site:listentoabooks.com’ into the search form.

Now, maybe this is just the initial listing rush and we’ll be shoved back into nowhere - I don’t know but I certainly hope not. But as an initial result, this is quite good.

I’ll keep on building audio books pages to see how well other sets will be taken up. Also I recommend to our affiliates to either integrate audio book content into existing pages and maybe even build an audio books section on the specific topic of their web site. If you’re linking back in to the home page of the site from these audio book pages, or even better, if you’re linking to an other domain with the same topic, this will also help your SE rankings.
